Tom Wetzel knows the insurance business — developed over a 40-year career starting with the Insurance Information Institute, heading a state association of insurers and mounting information campaigns on a wide range of industry issues. Since opening his firm in 2000, he has helped hundreds of agencies navigate the digital marketplace. He is a longtime member of the Insurance Marketing & Communications Association and served on its board for six years. He writes a column for agents in the Insurance Journal called “Tech Talk,” serves on the faculty of the Academy of Insurance, and has delivered hundreds of in-person presentations and webinars to agents, associations and insurers across the country. His other passion is Scouting and has served in many capacities over 25 years.
Rory Maxfield is relatively new to the insurance world however brings invaluable outside-the-industry experience and perspective. With a strong sales, marketing and IT/security background spanning over thirty years, Rory has served in leadership roles in both start-ups and major companies, including one as the head of international sales doing business in 48 countries. Rory maintains a passion for helping people and organizations to be safe and successful – a perfect fit to the Wetzel team. He is an accomplished musician and volunteers his keyboard skills frequently.
